Manchester United were finally back in action as they drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur tonight in London.
It had been more than three months since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men last played a competitive fixture, with the Premier League suspended in March and then rescheduled for the summer because of the coronavirus pandemic.
United went behind 1-0 to Tottenham after Steven Bergwijn beat David de Gea with a powerful shot, before United fought back after the second half introduction of Paul Pogba, as well as Mason Greenwood.
Pogba won the penalty from which Bruno Fernandes levelled. United were then given a second penalty but it was overturned by VAR.
It’s two dropped points for United in their battle to finish in the top four, they are two points behind Chelsea as Solskjaer’s men look to qualify for the Champions League next season.
