Kenya has finally bagged the non-permanent seat at the prestigious United Nations Security Council (UNSC) after the second round of voting on Thursday, June 18.

Nairobi secured 129 votes to Djibouti’s 62 therefore surpassing the two thirds threshold that was required to clinch the coveted seat.
